@the-ferretMay 18.2009 — I think that you have specified the wrong location for your images they are not in httpdocs/images just /images

e.g. the following url fails with a 404 not found http://www.gifts4less4you.com/httpdocs/images/template1/box1.jpg

but finds a samll blue box image at

http://www.gifts4less4you.com/images/template1/box1.jpg

if you are looking at your webserver then httpdocs is where the url resolves to when you are not ssl tunnelling, no need to specify it when linking through the url.

good luck!

(I like OSCommerce, but remember to add the paypal IPN contribution if you are taking paypal payments else it is a pain when the customer closes browser before redirecting back to your site as you collect the money but dont know what they have ordered, unless they have fixed that now in a later, than 5.2, milestone release )

@mandiee1967authorMay 19.2009 — there isn't a just a /image folder it is in httpdocs. .... When I asked my webserver about it he told me my image folder had to go into httpdocs. I have tried the /image was told to try ../image etc. But thanks for the reply and about paypal ... will look into that once i get the image thing worked out.

@the-ferretMay 19.2009 — Is it really a vanilla install of OSc? looks like commerce.cgi in which case follow the installation instructions (do not add the /httpdocs/ in the directory that will cause it to fail, so in your case the images are at http://www.gifts4less4you.com/images)

Input the directory for images

For example: http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/store/html/images DO NOT include the trailing slash!!

If you find that you cannot serve images from your /cgi-bin directory which is a common issue, simply create an images directory somewhere else on your server, move all of the images from the /cgi-bin/store/html/images directory to this new directory, and enter the URL to that directory here. Just as it says, DO NOT include the trailing slash in the URL!
