website visitors on a daily basis

Hello all ,
I’m creating a website that will serve the WEBSITE OWNERS .. one of the services I want to include in my website .. is a form that the visitor will write his website URL or any Website URL in it , and hit the submit button to show him how many users visit this URL daily ..

Is there any hint or script to get or calculate the number of visitors that visit a domain name (not my domain .. But any domain) on a daily basis .

Please.. this topic is so important to me .. so any hint , any hint will be useful to me .

@Phill_PaffordMay 12.2009 — Sounds like you're looking into Site Analytics. Not sure if there is a way to count how many visitors to a site without the help of Analytics and access to each site.

Example:

Google has a Analytics script that you can embed into your own website to keep track of visitors and other data like web browser, direct hit or referring site, etc... I'm not sure but I don't think this is public info, you might try searching for the Google Analytic JavaScript that's embedded on some (Not all) websites and/or web pages.

Google has two Analytic scripts now, one old and a new one.

Old: urchin.js

New: ga.js

You might be able to check for these scripts, grab the Id's in the scripts and then parse the Analytic data for that page if the site owner allows public access to the data.

Post back if you find any other solution but none as far as I know.
