Creating an online quiz?

Hi all! I’m attempting to create an online quiz and I’d like to use php to calculate the results. I’m a novice when it comes to php so I was hoping you could give me some tips or point me in the right direction for putting it together.

I want to have a series of personality tendencies people can select (and can select more than one) and each selection relates to one, or more than one, personality type. Every time they select one of the tendencies a value of 1 is added to one of the eight types.

That’s the start of it anyways. In my mind it looks a little something like:

[COLOR=”RoyalBlue”][SIZE=”2″]Select personality tendancies:

Loving (relates to personality type “one”)
Aggressive (relates to personality type “two” and “three”)
Fearful (relates to personality type “four”)[/SIZE][/COLOR]

Every time one of the above is selected, a value of 1 will be added to it’s correlating personality type.

Any ideas?
