Anyone know of a script that will do this?

Hi, I am looking for a script for a friend and want to know if anyone here knows of one. What he is looking for is a script that will deduct the number of available seats open for an event. Every time someone signs up a seat is deducted telling the user how many seats are open. It needs control for the administrator to set the number of seats and display a message to the user if needed. Also needs to be able to take payment with paypal.

@TheBearMayApr 06.2009 — At a minimum you'll need a server side language (i.e. PHP, JAVA, ASP.Net, etc.) to decrement the counter - what do you have available?

@SyCoApr 21.2009 — The easiest way to administer this is with a database. You'll be able to log which seat are taken if different seat cost different amounts and who has booked what. PHP and MySQL are pretty straightforward to learn and use and your project is a good place to learn how to do it. Google for a PHP MySQL tutorial. Here's a starting off point for you
