New site not working in IE7

Hey everyone, I’m new here but being the nooob that I am, I am stumped. I used to build website sites the old terrible way with slices etc. This is my first attempt at a CSS website. I set up a test page on my server and it looks great in Firefox however nearly the entire page is blank in IE7. What am I missing? I’d really appreciate anyone’s help.
