1. I built a blog site.2. I want to create a script that grabs the first 100 characters (letter, number, punctuation mark) of a blog, stores it, and displays it in a certain area on a different page (like how google must automatically display meta tag info on a search page).3. I don’t want to keep copying and pasting the text on multiple pages by hand as html.
Q: Is Javascript the way to do this, or is there an easier method?
Q: I don’t understand how the Javascript would be able to grab the information from different blog pages and keep the different blogs separate, and to have its procedure reused over and over again without erasing the characters it previously had stored.
Q: I would search for my own answers on the internet, but I don’t know what to put into the search bar to pinpoint what I’m looking for. So if there’s a site that has preformed Javascript intended for this, please direct me there. If not, could you help me construct the script. I suck at Javascript. And I’ve tried grasping the language, but since I don’t use it often, it’s quickly forgotten.
