Hi,

I am building a web page where the upmost requirement is the speed of loading.

I have a page which links to 5 images and the user can either click on the thumbnail and they will be taken to the larger view or they can click the arrow navigation (on a header bar above the images) that will take them through the larger images in order of 1-5.

The problem I have is that the larger image must appear with the same header, menu bar and side bar on the page. At the moment I have set up a new page for each image (with menu bar, side bar, etc) and then put direct links on the arrows to the next page. But the client can see the page loading each time, which they don’t like.

How can I get the images to display without using frames? I know about the swap image behaviour, but how could that work if the user clicks the arrows (that appear on the header (not the image) to navigate through the larger images in a set order?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sharon

@gil_davisNov 03.2003 — You can make the arrows change the image in the current page by using the onclick to trigger an image swap.
