hi, i have found some sites that have a box with some tags inside like a picture that i put in this post. this is some new system that can random some words on the sites? this system have some name? thanks for your help ?
@rpgfan3233Mar 19.2009 — #Tags are a sort of bookmarking/memorisation method. They are like keywords that are relevant to the content, making things easier to remember. On some sites, they are also able to be used like categories, where pages with the same tag can be found easily. For example, if you had a bunch of articles or blog entries or whatever that have a lot to do with the W3C, the "W3C" tag might be used to find them all. They aren't really useful on a professional site that sells services, but on blogs and news sites, they can be invaluable.
After all, different people use different things differently. Some prefer search, while others might prefer using tags. Some people even prefer site maps when possible. Tags are just another way to make a site usable with the added bonus of specific keywords to make things more memorable, too.
