space in column name

hi,

i have a space in a colum name. how do i include this column name in a query? like $sql=”SELECT DISTINCT [CLR NAME]…”?

@StevishMar 16.2009 — I think you can use backticks (usually next to the 1 key on most US keyboards) to surround the name.

@NogDogMar 16.2009 — The actual answer will depend on the DBMS being used. MySQL uses the above-mentioned back-tick for quoting column/table names, while others such as PostgreSQL and MSSQL can use normal double quotes for this. I believe MSSQL also supports the square bracket syntax.
