Checksum coding examples?

I’m looking for PHP source code examples for a file checksum program. I currently have an 8bit Debug DOS level executable that I created years ago that simply displays the results, but I now would like the equivalent for server file integrity purposes that I can OP to a variable. I would run the program on occasion to see if my files are OK and O/P the results to a DBF for monitoring.

There doesn’t seem to be an equivalent function available in the PHP Language reference, otherwise I would use that.

@NogDogMar 01.2009 — If I understand correctly, you should be able to use any of the assorted hashing functions, such as crc32(), md5(), or sha1().
