[RESOLVED] call function from it’s name

This one should be easy:

function a(b) { alert(b); }
var c = ‘a’; c(‘d’);

How do I make it work? It says c is not a function.
and I don’t like the idea making c a function that way:

var c = function(b) { alert(b); }

var c=a;c('d');

var c='a'; window[c]('d')

@toicontienFeb 20.2009 — Yes. You can access properties in objects using dot notation or bracket notation:
window.alert;
window["alert"];

var a = "alert";
window[a];
