search in progress dialog….

i want to show a dialog box saying the search is in progress when the user clicks on the retrieve button for search and be able to cancel the search by clicking on the cancel button in teh search is in progress dialog….how can i do this?…

any help ….thankx much…

@XinOct 27.2003 — i havent tried it yet but my thought would be:

- popup a layer showing the message

- use a iframe or layer to load the search result

- replace the page with the iframe content, or

- drop the iframe if the user cancels it
