[RESOLVED] how do I save a webpage that uses javascript?

http://www.independentrecording.net/irn/resources/freqchart/main_display.htm

I do audio recording and the computer I use for it isn’t connected to the web. if I try to just “save page as…” it doesn’t give me the mouse overs information. anyone know how I can get this fully working in an offline format?

thanks a ton, and I hope I’m not being too annoying…

@SyCoFeb 03.2009 — Did you download all the images too? You need to save them in a folder called images, which is in the same folder as this HTML file.

You can't view the directory so you'll have to view the source to get the list of images used then visit the URL eg

http://www.independentrecording.net/irn/resources/freqchart/images/inst_blank.jpg

and save each one without changing the name to the images folder.

@slaughtersFeb 03.2009 — In IE in the Save As dialog box try changing the "Save as type" to "Webpage. complete" instead of "Webpage. HTML only"

@pixeltarianauthorFeb 03.2009 — none of those things worked because the script that activates the hover images seems to be not easily translated by whatever the browser does to save it - and I can't for the life of me find out how to save the images in the image directory because they have an index page masking the contents.

I did find the solution though:

http://www.httrack.com/

does a fantastic job. It was the only one out of 4 website copy programs that actually worked. at it's free.

The link in my post is to one of the images. The rest are listed in the source.

Glad your problem is fixed.

I just did that and have no problems at all viewing images, etc. after opening it in IE7

yes, it is. httrack saves all the data including images.
