Have a function that takes a handle as an argument and returns an object, aka syntax is:
function linkObject(objectName)
now here’s some code from inside this function:
else if ((document.layers) & !(document.getElementById))
{
// temp = eval(‘document.layers[‘+objectName+’]’);
// temp.backgroundColor = this.bgColor
// return temp;
}
===============
Now ideally temp would inherit all properties of the given object and then add a new property (.backgroundColor) which should directly link to this.bgColor (an existing property of the object it is inheriting). For some reason it errors up and is skipped. (I have temporarlly commeted those lines out so the rest of the function works) Any ideas why?
