need some help. does anyone here know how we create feature like on elance.com and guru.com where members are allowed to create their own portfolio by enabling them to make folders and uploading relevant documents. Javascript/Ajax?
@SyCoJan 02.2009 — #If you want to do it yourself you need PHP/MySQL to register users then an upload form that is secure or a user will take control of your server. Another table to relate the users to the files. You can store the files in tables or just the paths to the files.
Ajax is just way to achieve what PHP can do without a page reload. You still need the PHP with ajax.
If you don't know how to register users then have a google . There are a lot of tutorials that will show you how. Once you understand how that works you'll be ready to move on to the file uploading stuff.
