Formating hyperlink in js

I want to format the text (color, font etc.) produced by a small js script that hides email addresses. I have tried creating a class and applying it to a div surrounding the script – no effect. I tried putting the script inside a <p> and <td> tag and applying the class – no effect. Can someone show me an example or provide advice on how this can be done?

@NedalsDec 23.2008 — Why are you using .js.?

What's wrong with 'display:none'?

Show us what you have tried and maybe we can understand exactly what you are trying to do.

@young77478Dec 23.2008 — Thought I had previously tried ".class a:link" to format the script display. Apparently not - applying this class to the js script achieves what I need.

To answer your question, I actually want the email address to display as a hyperlink. That's why I'm not using display:none which I believe hides the text -- correct?

Thanks
