document.body.scrollTop works on localhost but not on server

Greetings,
I am having a problem with the scrollTop function. Apparently scroll Top works fine on localhost but not on the server where it always reads 0. The purpose of using this is to position a div next to the mouse cursor to highlight some information. event.clientX and event.clientY captures the mouse position. The script is imported from another remote host. Apparently that appears to be the problem. Is there something Im wrongly assuming about document.body.scroll top when importing js from another server?
For further info, go to cosm.webprofile.gr and click on GO under ONLINE CONSULATION. It is surrounded by a box, when GO is clicked, a man (or womans) face appears and the when the mouse is moved over the image, a div box appears next to the mouse cursor. In firefox it works fine, but in Internet Explorer it does not.

Server is linux, browser is IE 7.
