IE 6.0.2800 hangs when using Msxml.DOMDocument

Well, sometimes!

Has anyone had any experience of this?

I’ve heard IE has problems when DHTML adds <img> tags after page load:
[url]http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q269802[/url],

so I removed all the <img> insertions that I was doing, but this hasn’t quite fixed the problem. We are still getting the odd download that causes the whole browser to stop communicating. It doesn’t stop responding, you can still close it, do other DHTML stuff, etc but you can’t navigate to another page.
