JavaScript Practice?

Hi. I’ve pretty much just started learning JavaScript as i need to do something it for a website i’m doing. However i have used other similar languages.

I’ve just learnt how to do Arrays, Loops, Statements, Expressions, Objects etc i guess all the basic stuff you learn in the beginning and would like to do a kind of practice problem to make sure that i’ve learnt it all right. Do you know any websites that kind of give you challenges and stuff to create a script as a solution? Basically i just want something to test myself with. Thanks

@AmphidamasNov 25.2008 — Hi Steve,

I'm also relatively new to JavaScript as I have just begun learning it for university. Our assignment required us to produce 4 programs. The first of which was fairly straightforward. It asks you to prompt a user for two numbers, then alert the user informing them which number is the biggest. Or, if they're equal, say that they're equal. ? Try giving that one a go.

Regards.

Try inputting these numbers into your program: 456756 and 6. Which is the largest? ?

Here's another one for you. Prompt the user for a number and then write out powers of that number from 0 to 10.

Regards.

but we can always use extra help around here, so get cracking on the noob questions for us!

Ah good one, i didn't think of that at first the text box is a string so originaly 6 was bigger then 456756 but fixed now ?. I'll have a go at the other one. One thing i need to fix quickly though is when you enter in nothing.

I'll try to help out in the forum as much as i can but i'm not the greatest programmer so i don't want to head people in the wrong direction lol

You don't necessarily have to post replies, you can simply look at questions regarding JS coding and see if you can figure out the answers yourself for practice. Should you find success, then you can post possible answers.

If you don't have success, you can check back later and see if other people provided correct solutions and see where their answers differ from what you got.

Success!
