Cross Browser problems

I have finally launched my first site and now I’m finding out all the problems that go with it.

Problem 1: My favicon works on my laptop with IE, Mozilla and Safari browsers. When I jump onto my pc to the right, in IE, the favicon doesn’t show.

Problem 2: On my laptop and pc, the Flash movie (using Shockwave player) doesn’t work, even though I have installed it.

Driving me crazy 😮

Thanks in advance

Problem #2: What browser, version and OS are you using?

Is there a link to the site?

Sent u a PM.

How would I check browser versions?

Running Vista on both PC and laptop.

*Running IE 7. Managed to figure out the Version*

@toicontienNov 12.2008 — Got your PM. Hm. The code appears correct. If pressing Ctrl + F5 doesn't do the trick (which causes IE7 to refresh from the network, not the cache), then I wonder if there is a security setting preventing this?

As for the Flash movie, it's not working for me on Firefox either. When going to the URL for the flash SWF file, Firefox just keeps trying to load it, meaning it's trying to download the file but it just isn't happening.

EDIT: The flash player did start playing, but it appears only after downloading all the data for it. It doesn't seem to be streaming the data.

Thanks alot... I got it sorted. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but it's working. I think it had something to do with the Flash Movie itself. Coz once I cut it out, then replaced it, but Drag n Drop from the Assets panel in Dreamweaver, it worked beautifully. Even the favicon is up ?

PS: Hope u will submit some pics in the future
