Hello, I’m having trouble getting my site to pop up in google search results. I have submitted an XML sitemap through Google Webmaster Tools, and it has been identified. I can still not see it when searching on Google.

What else can I do to get my site to appear?

It depends on when it was submitted or published on the web, it can take up to 2 months sometimes. Generally a well coded site should have no problem being indexed. If i can see the site then i might have some suggestions.
What ever the result, that is what Google has cached. You will then be able to tell if your site has been indexed or not.
Please don't forget about the Google's Sandbox, the sandbox effect is a term used before a site is given any recognition by Google. The more incoming links you have from authoritative websites the quicker it will take to get out the sandbox and into the search results.
Another possible reason why you are not showing up in the search results is because you could be in a very competitive industry, thus you are right at the bottom of the 'pile'. So SEO and other online marketing methods should definitely be considered to drive targeted traffic to your website.
@seo_promotionOct 19.2008 — #Either Google hasn't find your website or Google has banned your website.I think the first reason is most likely the case.
@devmasterOct 23.2008 — #You need to seo your site. Optimized on page then bookmark your site. Wait for the result , you'll see after 24 hours , google will index and list your site.
