IE 5.5, 6 3px gap bug. Please help

Hi all,

It would be a breeze if I wouldent be having so much trouble with IE’s rendering issues…

As you can see, I am suffering from what appears to be the 3px gap bug. here is a screenshot taken from IE6

The 3px in question is the black line above the whitespace.

For the site:

What is the best way to overcome this bug?

Btw the site is perfect in all other browsers including IE7,8, firefox, safari and chrome.

Thanks

@lochgoOct 06.2008 — Something that has helped me in the past is to add the following at the top of the CSS:

  • * {

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    }

  • It has solved many discrepancies in formatting between FF and IE. That is the only thing I can see atm.
