retrieving encrypted password

Hi all

I can’t seem to retrieve an encrypted password from my MySQL DB. Here is the query code:

[CODE]$signinquery = “SELECT user_id,user_level,user_first_name FROM users WHERE user_email = ‘$varEmail’ AND user_password = SHA(‘$varPassword’)”;[/CODE]

retrieving unencrypted password works fine.

any ideas what i might be doing wrong?

You do not need to include it to pull other info. Are you also doing php evaluation? What happens when you run an example on the database and not php? Any errors?

Are you on a hosted account?

Do you have phpmyadmin in your control panel?
