layer question

im just learning layers and i have a question

lets say i have a layer and i want to add 25px to the left position so i write

document.all[‘layer’].style.left += “25”;

but javascript reads the left value as a string so it would say for example if the layer was a 100px, the layer is now equal to 100px25. so how do i make it recognize that the value is numeric.

thanks
alex

@FangSep 16.2008 — var obj = document.getElementById('layer');
obj.style.left = parseInt(obj.style.left) + 25 + 'px';

document.all is MS propriety, use modern DOM methods.

Also always use a valid DTD
