I’ve created HTML emails before, but I’ve always used external images in them. Those external images are often blocked by email clients. I need to create a few email templates for work and I was sent an email created from an email template. The images for the HTML email were actually attachments and are pulled off the email server. How do I go about this?
As a preface, you can download email templates from the Internet, but this needs to be used for an email client like Thunderbird or which ever email client Mac OS uses. I’m completely lost here. It feels like I’m missing a very important piece of the puzzle.
I know HTML, CSS and all that jazz, I just don’t know how to switch out a logo, basically. How do you create an email template so the images aren’t pulled off a remote server, and instead are attached?
I’ve saved the email that was sent to me and opened it in a text editor. It appears the image attachment is ASCII encoded. Do I just change that portion of the message?
Any ideas, links or info would be great.
