on mouse over with div overlay

hi, i am creating a claendar website for an after school club i’m in. so far i have the layout;
http://www.davincilab.org/shazbots/calendar_2009/2008_09.html

i need to figure out how i can have the onmouseOver()=**show div**

this way, i can have a user hover over a date, and a box would appear and have soething like “meeting today at 4:00.” or something along those lines.

the other way i could do this if that is not an option, is have the information show up in a box off to the side of the calendar when a user hovers over a link.

does anyone have any ideas please???? i have googled like 30 different things trying to find this. i can easily have images swap when the mouse is over it, just not and image for a div…

any help would be great, thanks!
