Divs, CSS and text cut off

Hi All!

I am new to the forums and have a quick question I was hoping someone might be able to help with. I have googled my heart out only to find lots of questions with no answers, but here goes.

I am attempting to call an email address from the database using php (echo $email->getOutput(1)? the email is contained within a div that is styled with CSS to be 258px wide. The problem is that long email addresses are cut off by the div rather than wrapping to the next line. Certain other items that I am calling from the database seem to wrap without problem. This happens in both MSIE and Firefox. I have worked with both overflow and wordwrap in css and nothing helps. Is there anyway to make longer entries break at the edge of the div and wrap to the next line?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

@bluestartechAug 21.2008 — an email address is likely to one continuous string, which could not be wrapped in any case without first splitting the string
