Mootools Photo Gallery problems

Hello, I have a PHP photo gallery that I got working on my server but have not the slightest clue on how to get it into my page within a <div> I have read the docs on the site but I still am confused on which goes what and where, I’ve been told so many things by people this is probably why I am so confused.

As I mentioned it’s working on my server, but I don’t know how to get it so that you can see it on my page within a <div> as far I know there is more code that has to be put elsewhere as this is what I was told

@sticks464Aug 15.2008 — To get the gallery to work on another page do the following;

1. Copy all necessary css and script links from the head section of the e2 gallery index.php file. You should not have to copy the doctype, title or any meta data as these will be on the new page already.

  • 2. Copy everything in the body section of the index.php file and past it in the flow of the new page where you want the gallery to appear. Change the new page extention to php.


  • 3. As long as you have the gallery files and folders installed in the site's root directory there should be no broken links.


  • 4. You may want to delete the first div from the gallery code and just use the div with the class e2_photo_gallery as the containing div on the new page.


  • 5. Make sure the css in the e2.css file will not break the new pages' layout. (I'm sure you have already done this, just a reminder).

    @WhiteDragonauthorAug 15.2008 — Alright, I have pasted the code from index.html and something is showing up the <div> I placed it in needs to be moved on the page but something is showing up but not the gallery, what I am confused over is the e2.css what do I do with that? I don't know if I can paste a whole big section of code can I ?

    @WhiteDragonauthorAug 16.2008 — I have done this and to a degree something shows up but not as it should. Also there are <div> within the gallery code from index.php, could I remove them if I have my own <div> ? I'm a little lost on getting this setup.
