You can override the 'backspace' button by listening for that key and adding your own bit of custom code when someone hits it. But there's no way to actually grey out the back button in the browser controls.

i hate that crap with a furious passion. often i want to go to a history item that has nothing to do with the current site and i have to manually select it from the dropdown!

Stick to what rnd me said, nd remember that if you want to keep people visiting your site, [b]don't mess with their browser[/b].
