Check Which Optioins are Disabled in an Form

I want to write a function that checks which Options are Enabled/Disabled in a Select Menu in a Form. So, Variable Sel is the Select opject. And Value is the value I’m checking if it’s enabled or disabled.

var i = 0;
var opt;
while(opt = sel.options[i++]) {
if (opt.value == value) {
return opt.disabled;
}
}
}

It doesn’t seem to do what it is supposed to do.
