HTML Form – Automatic Filling Suggestions

I have seen this in FireFox as well as the Google Toolbar where you begin to type a search query and a drop down box appears with suggestions for what you may actually be searching for as you type each letter.

What is this? What scripting language?

I’d like to incorporate this into our company’s forms so each person doesn’t have their own variation of the same customer. I could also accomplish this with a drop down menu, but the menu itself would be far too extensive and do more harm than good.

@JPnycJul 14.2008 — in most cases this is a function of the browser rather than the webpage. There are webpages which incorporate this feature, such as YouTube, but it's probably going to be more trouble to you than it's worth.

Yes, exactly like YouTube (Netflix also does it). But their suggestions could be in the thousands/millions. If anything, our list would be limited to 500 which would make a drop down menu simply ridiculous.
