News System (Pages)

I’ve created a news system in php…

Now I’ve tried to make the pages thing on the bottom.

For example: On the bottom of this forum in PHP section there is this “Page 1 of X” And you can select which page you want to go to. And this segments the news articles.

Now I have made it so that mysql segments it according to a get variable.

But I don’t know how to do the numbers in the page selection, especially when it comes to the last page, and I tried reverse output of numbers, but it’s not working.

Can someone direct me to how the professionals do this?
