js – video/photos to share same div

So first off….. i’m a javascript idiot! So any help with making my idea work would be greatly appreciated.

Basically I have a image gallery with thumbnails and the large image populating a div. I would like to place video links also on the page, that would populate where the large image is.

I’ve got it to work where the video will erase the photos, but how can I get the photos repopulate the div when you click on a thumbnail?
