Formmail.php

I was told by Doteasy that if the inquiry form is to go to the school which I had built the site for at http://www.aolwardensheppard.com/inquiryform.htm that I have to have the e-mail address in the source code. I did that the last time, and the school had a stack of spam.

This time I had redone the whole site without putting the e-mail address in, just in the HIQ/FM config.php. If I have to put it in the source code, is there a way that it could be hidden, so the school does not get a stack of spam?

@FangJul 10.2008 — The fact that the school receives spam means they are already on the spammers lists and so will continue to receive spam. Too late!

@mityaJul 12.2008 — As Fang says, it's too late to simply stop the spam. But if you're mailing via PHP you certainly don't need the e-mail that the e-mails go to in the source code, i.e. outputted HTML. It need only be in the mail function itself, i.e. mail("[email protected]". PHP source code doesn't make it to the browser so this can't be read by users or spam bots etc.
