Question about multiple domains and one hosting (seo)

I have three domains and a single (shared) hosting.
Let’s name the domains domain1, domain2 and domain3, with domain3 being the one that’s already connected to the hosting.
Now each one must be a separate site, appearing so for visitors and searchengines, but all hosted on the same location.
I guess I need to create the subdomains domain1.domain3.tld and domain2.domain3.tld and let the actual domains domain1 and domain2 direct to their subdomains on the domain3 hosting by using a frameset. Will this be seen as individual sites by searchengines, or will it harm the ranking (I know that having multiple domains to the same site is bad). If this is not the good way to do it, then am I forced to have a hosting per domain or is there any other way?

@Mr__E__CrypticJun 28.2008 — check if your hosting allows 'add-on domains' - if it does; this what you're looking for. If they're part of your package, there should be a utility in your hosting backend to set them up.

@donatelloJul 05.2008 — I used GoDaddy's "Deluxe" hosting where you can have as many domains as you want and they are all hosted on the same account. It's cheap too. You will have to do a lot of things for yourself, because it is strictly no-frills, but it's reliable.

The plain vanilla is cheap, but then expect to pay for any add-ons.

When you go to buy something from GoDaddy, always check through Google for any discounts first. For hosting, there usually aren't any, but it might pay to search on "RetailMeNot.com" anyway.

@SeanIMJul 30.2008 — Frames in general are not loved by engines. I'd also recommend as I believe someone else did in this thread to go with "subdomains"

example:

sometopic.domain.com

someothertopic.domain.com

yetanothertopic.domain.com

Most hosts will accomodate this and you can treat each as it's own entity...

That being said, you likely don't want to go hog wild with this unless you're building the next about.com ?

@seo_promotionAug 07.2008 — I agree with SeanIm ,Frames are not liked by Search Engines and as far as subdomains are concerned they are treated as different websites.
