Javascript Vs. Action Script

Hi Everybody.

I really don’t know if it is smart for me to assume that, between Javascript and Action Script, one could possibly be better. At this point, since I have only a paltry familiarity with either, it is all the same to me.

Is one better than the other, though? Or does it really matter? If not/if so…Why?
