Reasonable Form Field Restrictions?

I’m wondering what length restrictions would be appropriate for some fields on a registration form:

What is the shortest a first name can be? (I’m thinking “Al” is two letters)

What is the longest length a first name should be able to be? (Tikki Tikki Timbo….)

What about min and max length for last names?

Longest email address? 32 characters? 48? 80? 100?

For first name I would definetely go with 2 letters. For length though I'd go at least 15+, as some people join two names together to make a last name, which means it can be rather long.

As for email address be generous I'd recommend 50 at least.
