Help on JS with IE

Hi,

i’ve included the Crafty Syntax Dialogue JS into my menu.txt which is included in all pages of my site with this line: [I][/I]<script language=”JavaScript” src=”menu.txt” type=”text/javascript”></script>

In the menu.txt it looks like:

[I]document.write(‘<tr><td class=”menu” BGcolor=”#FFFFFF” width=”150″ valign=”top”>’)
document.write(‘<div id=”craftysyntax” style=”width:142px”>’)
document.write(‘<script type=”text/javascript” src=”/livehelp/livehelp_js.php?eo=1&relative=Y&amp;department=1&amp;serversession=1&amp;pingtimes=15″></script>’)
document.write(‘</div>’)
document.write(‘</td></tr>’)[/I]

On Firefox it displays as i want, please look [url]www.madeinwater.co.uk/index.html[/url]

The problem is on IE, where the little dialogue box goes out of the table and at the top.

Any ideas on fixing this?

@GSharpMay 29.2008 — I think Firefox and IE handle overflow differently by default. Try changing the table to have overflow set to 'hidden' and see if that helps.

@FangMay 29.2008 — It's caused by a law suit against MS which required the stupid pop-up.

Updating IE7 should stop the pop-up as the law suit has been resolved and MS issued an update to remove the pop-up.

It occurs in IE6 if you are running multiple versions of IE (can't be updated).
