Please help!!!!

I have to create a wheres waldo type game with javascript for a class. So i need to create something where a user can scroll over an image, find 2 hidden buttons and that results in a running score type thing. where do i even begin? Can someone please point me in the right direction where i could at least find a skeleton code to work with. Thanks!!!
