@TJ111Apr 17.2008 — #By image manager, do you mean a gallery, a CMS to manage/display/share photos, a library to edit/serve images, or what? Be a little more specific.
@hastxApr 18.2008 — #I am in process of developing a simplistic photo editor that integrates scriptaculous with GD library and allows you very basic editing functions like crop, resize, border, drop shadow.
It's very minimal, and still in process, but is this what you are thinking about for upload & edit functions?
There are several issues with the app: one being that there is no "back" or "undo" options. When editing images, the cache builds up very fast and so after every successful edit, the previous version is deleted to keep from having too much space taken up on the server. So if you make a mistake you have to start again.
@TJ111May 09.2008 — #Yeah, I'm very impressed with Aviary. It's great to be able to do some pretty advanced image editing on-the-go, and just grab them when I get back to home/work. Not as feature-rich as Photoshop or the Gimp, but pretty damn impressive for an online image editor.
