Wide Screen Laptop and Jpgs

It seems that when I view sites on my new wide screen laptop that work has provided me some of the image are blurry. It almost looks like and image that was resized with HTML instead of an image editor. When I view the sites in dreamweaver the images look as they should but as soon as the browser gets a hold of them they do not look sharp. My resolution is set at 1440×900.

Change the following registry setting from 1 to 0 in order to disable this "feature":

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMainUseHR

Works like a charm.

@Eye_for_VideoApr 15.2008 — It could be that the <div> or container holding the image is set to display a certain percentage of the screen, which changes with screen resolution. Is the image distorted dis-proportionately (stretch wider, etc).

Most likely it has nothing to do with either the laptop or the image, but rather how the html page coder chose to display the image.

@kpikulauthorApr 15.2008 — It is the laptop. This is not only happening my sites but also sites such as Yahoo, Espn, Msn, etc. After I made the modification everything is back to normal. Here is where I found the fix.....

@Eye_for_VideoApr 15.2008 — Well I figured it had to do with auto resizing as a percentage of the screen, I just didn't think they would build it into the machine!
