Help for a beginner

Hi Folks,

I wonder if you can help a complete beginner (me ? ).

I’m working on updating an Intranet and want to do a couple of things to make it look a bit more up to date:

What I’d like to do is:

1) Have a drop down box that when you select the option, takes you to that page/area.

2) Put a search function onto the page that will search the whole site.

Any help/advice, shortcut, cheats etc would be gratefully accepted.
