Hi,

How do I get the position of an object? An anchor for example.

Thank you.

This is only a half of answer, because the offset position is relative to the object's DOM parent. To get the absolute position of an object you need to circle through all the object's parents and add their offset position values as well:
<i>
</i>function findPos(obj){
var posX = obj.offsetLeft, posY = obj.offsetTop;
while(obj.offsetParent){
posX=posX+obj.offsetParent.offsetLeft;
posY=posY+obj.offsetParent.offsetTop;
if(obj==document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0]){break}
else{obj=obj.offsetParent;}
}
return [posX,posY]
}

Success!
