Passing value back from a function

I am passing a value to my main program from another function.

The variable containing this value can be echoed, but I cannot assign it to another variable.

I have no idea why it’s not working.

This works:

[CODE] $styleSheets = new c_style();

echo $styleSheets->selectStyle();[/CODE]

This doesn’t

[CODE] $styleSheets = new c_style();

$style = $styleSheets->selectStyle();

echo $style;[/CODE]

Anyone got any ideas? Im going mad.

OK I think I see the problem.

Is it a rule that you cannot instantiate another class within another classes constructor function?
