easy validation question I hope

How can I check a text field using EREGI to make sure that it only contains numbers and not alpha or special characters?

@zombieJonesMar 28.2008 — I think this will work. I hope you didn't require ereg, because I prefer preg.

there is a decimal in [0-9.]

delete it if they aren't allowed.

if (preg_match ("/^([0-9.]+)$/", $mynumber)) {

print $mynumber." is a number";

} else {

print $mynumber." is not a number";

}
