Urgent help needed with CSS drop down menu

Here’s my website: Click

I really need some help trying to make a drop down menu. From what I’ve read all over the place, a nested <ul> is the best option. What I want is to create a drop down menu only for the “Pen Modifications” button.

Can anyone help me? ***This is a little different as I’m not linking between pages but between div layers. I’ve already got a javascript to manage that ability, and the drop down requires another from what I gather… can both operate together? What should I do?

Ps. If you’re kind enough to offer me some “live” help, please PM me your MSN email, thanks so much. =)

@skywalker2208Mar 09.2008 — Am I understanding you correctly that you want a drop down menu that changes the content below, but without a page refresh. Some what like hides the first set of content and shows the next set of content.

@CentauriMar 09.2008 — Using the suckerfish method described here, the additional javascript is only a helper for IE6, and the method of implementation does not affect any other javascript onload events, so it should be ok with what you are doing.

You're right, that's exactly what I want.

@DarkArcherauthorMar 10.2008 — Sorry for the double post, but I've tried the sucker fish method and somehow it just doesn't work. When I hover over the tab, nothing appears. I've use their java script and followed their advice to make it useable in IE, but it's just not working.

Sigh, I've been trying this for a while... hope to get it resolved. For some reason I think my div layer switching javascript might be in the way, is that right? How do I operate 2 javascripts?

@CentauriMar 10.2008 — I have been playing with this a bit, and some simple mods seem to upset the div switching javascript in FF - I suspect that it is not entirely compatible. Where did you get this script from?

@DarkArcherauthorMar 10.2008 — Hi Centauri,

Thanks for being willing to help me test thing out. The menu actually looks best in IE and not FF for some reason, anyway, that problem aside first. I actually forgot where I got the javascript from, however, if there's any shorter, more comprehensive versions around, I'm willing to give it a try provided it can help me achieve the same result.

My aim actually is to have a 2 level CSS horizontal menu with the ability to switch content without a page refresh, meaning calling up of div layers must be enabled.

I believe this requires 2 javascripts, one for switching div content so that when one appears, the others in the same spot are hidden and another script for enabling the hover function of the 2 level CSS menu.

I hope a new solution can be found.

Many thanks,

DarkArcher
