@xvszeroauthorMar 14.2008 — #I got Xamp and it seemed to have errors, including a window that kept popping up new every 10 seconds or so until they filled my screen. So I uninstalled it. My laptop is a brand new XP Home... it should work right?
@NogDogMar 15.2008 — #I had some problems with XAMPP when I got my new notebook with Vista about a year ago. I don't remember what the exact problem was, but I decided to try installing WAMP as a quick way to see if it was something with the actual server software or just with the installation, and everything worked just fine out of the box. I also found that I liked the WAMP user interface better, so have stuck with it since then. But I still have XAMPP running just fine on my WinXP desktop.
@bokehMar 15.2008 — #Why not download and install Apache, PHP and MySQL individually. That way you can update each when a new one is released instead of waiting for a new package (which is normally months later).
