Can’t use REQUIRE or INCLUE

Hey everybody! I was using this simple code to open up an include file which contained the basic template XHTML for my website, but now I’m getting an error telling me that “URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration” which I know means I can’t use the “include” or “require” functions on my server. What is another way that I can do this, without having to place a “php.ini” file in every single folder turning allow_url_include to on?
require(“template.inc”);
@TJ111Feb 26.2008 — You can try the following, but it is possible they have disable ini_set in the 'disable_functions' directive.
ini_set('allow_url_fopen', 'on');
Although it shouldn't block access to local files. Maybe you can try to use full/relative file paths?
require("./template.inc");
require("/var/www/template.inc");
@novemberGreyauthorFeb 26.2008 — I used relative paths and that did the trick! Thanks TJ111!
