what can i use instead of frames?

Im currently creating a client map for my site.

The map is on the left side of the site and I want users to be able to click on their area and be able to see all the company details on the right hand side of the site.

I know that this can be done with frames but is there a better way of doing this?

Any help would be great.

Thanks ?

@toicontienFeb 25.2008 — Not use frames. Just reload the entire page. There's no harm in that, and it's very likely you are wanting a user interface behavior that most users don't even know of, or would care about if they did know of it. The question becomes is it functional? If you can answer yes, then there's no harm in creating a normal web page that loads normally.

@dtm32236Feb 25.2008 — it sounds like you're looking for something like this map

you can do this with hidden/visible divs...

@LeeUFeb 25.2008 — If you look under "image maps" here, you can find several more.
