Can javascript call a PHP function?

So, can it? And if so, how do I do that? The set up is a list of 5 options, each of which has a different form to fill out and submit. I want to use the onmouseclick event with javascript to make the correct form appear below. Is this even possible? Could it be done with only PHP? Or do I need to do something else?

Thanks!

@bathurst_guyFeb 17.2008 — Just have the whole form(s) actually there and use JavaScript to hide all of them, then on event show the required one.

@Lord_TatarausauthorFeb 17.2008 — Oh right, that'll work. Why didn't I think of that, thanks!
